Where can you serve?
Intercessory Prayer
Prayer moves the hand of God. Fervent Prayer Church is thrilled to pray for our city, our government, our youth, deliverance, and God’s kingdom around the world. We are a body of believers dependent upon prayer, and committed to God’s sovereignty. Each Sunday morning, a team of prayer warriors prays for the ministry of the Word. Throughout the week, our Prayer Warriors team prays for their pastor, church members and special requests, as well as missionary prayer needs. Each Wednesday, the church comes together for a special time of prayer and Bible study.
Music & Drama
God-honoring worship is something we strive for. Many members get involved in our music and drama ministries. Some play instruments, many get involved in the choir, and others are involved in drama. This team is an important part of the ministry at Fervent Prayer Church, using their talents and gifts to glorify God.
Parking Lot, Greeters, and Ushers (P.L.U.S.)
This team directs attendees to their seats, ensures the safety of the building during services, guides traffic, assists visitors, provides direction, and helps ensure that service can proceed problem-free. The PLUS team is a servant-hearted group of men and women whose ministry is integral to church life.
Media & Technology
Using media to spread the gospel is a privilege of Fervent Prayer Church. In an age of widespread technology, we have a stewardship to use these tools as best as possible for kingdom purposes. All of our weekly sermons are uploaded to our website in video and audio formats. We also maintain an active Facebook and Twitter feed for additional church communication.
SHINE Teen Ministry
Our Teen Faithful Lovers of the Word (F.L.O.W) event involves games, nails, basketball, great food, good worship, and the intentional influence of counselors. The counselors find that their ministry is personally rewarding, and both teens and counselors grow in the process. Each summer, Fervent Prayer Church employs youth in a program called Clean for Green. The 6 week-long program employs youth to clean the city of Indianapolis.
Fervent Kids Ministry (Children’s Church)
In order to give our children the best Bible teaching possible, Fervent Prayer holds a children’s church service in conjunction with the main service. This special time gives kids more opportunity for interaction and learning in a context and manner that may be better suited to their age and learning styles. Our friendly children’s church volunteers have an endless stream of creativity–ranging from puppet shows, to games, to object lessons.
